We are delighted to share the stories of our 2026 Volunteer Award recipients. These awards recognise the incredible dedication, talent, and spirit of individuals across our branches who ensure that Irish music, language, and culture continue to thrive throughout Britain.

We are proud to officially launch the Comhaltas in Britain Annual Report for 2025-2026. Formally adopted this morning at our Annual Convention in Coatbridge, this report celebrates a year of incredible music, dance, and community across our four regions. From the success of our Fleadhanna to the growth of the SCT exams, it’s all inside.

Comhaltas in Britain is excited to announce that our Annual Convention will take place on 21st and 22nd February at the Conforti Centre, Coatbridge. This is your chance to help shape the convention and make your voice heard!

Over the past few months, Comhaltas branches across Britain have been enjoying a wonderful series of exchange programmes with branches in Ireland, bringing musicians together, fostering friendships, and creating memories that will last a lifetime. Get ready to pick up an instrument and make some music! From 9th–12th October 2025, two Comhaltas branches in Britain are taking part in Music for All’s Learn to Play Day, offering a weekend full of musical fun, discovery, and community spirit.

On Saturday 18th October, harp players everywhere will mark Lá na Cruite | Harp Day, celebrating Ireland’s 1,000-year-old harping tradition, recognised on UNESCO’s List of Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanities.
