Comhaltas in Britain
15th & 16th February 2020
The two days of convention will be the first following Comhaltas in Britain becoming a registered charity.
It will feature updates on the projects and activity which Comhaltas has been involved with over the past year and a focus on the direction for Comhaltas in the coming year. There will be sessions and guest speakers to help and inspire branches, regions and volunteers. Most importantly, the weekend is the best opportunity for delegates and members to help shape and guide the province into 2020 and beyond.
Significant contributions from our youth membership is expected and we would strongly encourage regions and branches to bring their youth officers and young members along with delegates as they prepare for their role in taking on the values and volunteering for the future of the organisation, ó ghlúin go glúin.
The Convention meeting will start at 11am on Saturday 15th February (Registration 10:30am) and will run until approximately 4:30pm.
The meeting will then continue on Sunday 16th February starting at 11am. Meeting is scheduled to close at approximately 4pm on the Sunday.
The convention is taking place at The Hallmark hotel, Sefton Park, Liverpool. We have limited accommodation available onsite which will be allocated on a first come first served basis.
The Provincial council is once again subsidising the weekend and we have been fortunate to have the support of funding from the Irish Government Emigrant Support Program. The cost to delegates for the weekend is:
1 night B&B (Saturday 15th February) plus lunch and meeting for 2 days £95 per person
2 days lunch and meeting (no accommodation) £32 per person
2 night B&B (Friday 14th & Saturday 16th Feb) plus lunch and meeting for 2 days £150 per person
Delegates and officers who are attending on behalf of units should be supported in the cost by the unit they are representing.
To book please e-mail email@example.com
Numbers attending need to be confirmed with the hotel by Monday 13th January so those attending must get in touch before this date. Otherwise accommodation cannot be provided.
In addition to the convention. Meeting The Echoes of Erin Concert tour is being hosted at the Liverpool Irish Centre on Saturday 16th February at 8pm. Tickets for this are available separately. We will also be hosting a session on the Saturday evening so all musicians/visitors are welcome.
