Resources for Branch Leaders
This page is here to support all the work being done at the local level. It provides a place for youth officers, PROs and any committee member to learn and expand their knowledge.
Your Community
As a charity, we here to serve our community - this is a great place to start. It gives you an overview on who you are serving as a branch and how to expand your reach into communities that might be harder to reach.
Project & Event Planning
This sections goes through the lifecycle of preparing and reflecting on a project or an event. It goes through how to budget, monitor risks and review your plans.
Fundraising
The fundraising pack suggests ideas on how to fundraise money for your branch. It provides tips and suggestions to making your members and wider audience aware of the impact your fundraising activity means to your branch and without this money what the impact would be.
If somebody is raising money on your behalf through a run or cycle for example, here are some suggested emails to send them to support them through their journey.
Funding
The next two videos and documents look at possible revenue streams you can look at as a branch. The second video looks specifically at writing grants and how to put your case forward.
Volunteers
Volunteers are the backbone of what we do. Each document is here to help branch committee members to support their volunteers and to be aware what the legal requirements are in England, Wales and Scotland.
This document is for branch committee members to be aware of the legal requirements like GDPR, child safeguarding and equal opportunities. Your volunteers have rights and responsibilities which they must be trained and supported in their role.
This document can be handed to your volunteers so they are aware of the Comhaltas in Britain's policies and how we can support them in their volunteering role.
