The London and Southern Region of Comhaltas in Britain is delighted to announce that the 2026 All-Britain Fleadh will be hosted at Brentwood County High School. After months of careful planning and venue searches, the committee has successfully secured a location that promises to offer an outstanding experience for participants and visitors alike.
The Provincial Council of Britain recently visited the site and expressed their excitement about working closely with the host region to deliver a memorable Fleadh. Their visit confirmed that the facilities and surrounding community are ideally suited to welcome the vibrant celebration of Irish music, dance, and culture.
Speaking at the recent Provincial Council meeting, Conor Walsh, Chairperson of the 2026 Fleadh, expressed his enthusiasm about bringing the event to Essex. “Although this area currently does not have a branch, the strong Irish communities in Southend and Chelmsford make it a perfect location,” he said. “We aim to create a lasting legacy with the 2026 Fleadh, engaging local communities and inspiring future generations of Irish musicians and dancers.”
The Fleadh Committee will share further details about the 2026 All-Britain Fleadh at the upcoming Convention in February, including information on competitions, performances, community events, volunteering opportunities, fundraising initiatives, and sponsorship options.
Stay tuned for updates as preparations begin for what promises to be an extraordinary celebration of Irish culture in Essex.
